Because We serve.

Conroy's is named for the renowned southern author Pat Conroy. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he attended the Citadel and taught school in Beaufort, South Carolina. His subsequent job as teacher to underprivileged children on neighboring Daufuskie Island became the subject of one of his early books, The Water is Wide.

Mr. Conroy has written several novels since -- The Great Santini, Lords of Discipline, Beach Music, My Losing Season, his most famous, The Prince of Tides, and most recently, The Pat Conroy Cookbook. All of his work resonates with the presence and richness of the low country, bringing it alive to many whom have never experienced it first hand.

At Conroy's, we strive to offer the best of tastes and textures so revered in the low country, each of our dishes is prepared with creativity and flair by Chef Philip O'Brien. As there is new interest and discovery in re-reading one of Mr. Conroy's books, we expect dining at Conroy’s to be an experience savored again and again.
